Facebook announced the launch of a new video channel aimed at developers, Developers Live, which will host news, tutorials, speaking sessions, and other content.
The first live event on Developers Live will feature Facebook Director of Developer Products Doug Purdy, and it will take place Feb. 19.
The social network said in a post on its developer blog introducing Developers Live:
Today we’re announcing a new way for developers to stay up-to-date on the latest news, tutorials, speaking sessions, and more via Facebook Developers Live. Developers Live is a curated video channel that features live, recorded, and interactive broadcasts, giving developers a central place to learn about the latest tools and to get access to the product managers and engineers who created them.
Developers Live will feature a variety of content for everyone:
Mobile developers will learn how to go deeper and grow their applications with Facebook.
Game developers will learn how to build better games across web and mobile.
Websites and publishers will learn how to use Facebook to drive traffic.
We hope you’ll join us Feb. 19 for our first live event featuring Doug Purdy, director of product. Doug will discuss the top three things every mobile developer needs to know in 2013. Register for the event here.
